Whether you are someone I have been working with for some time or if you are just getting started, here is some information about myself and Knueve Counseling.
I graduated from Indiana University in 2006 with my bachelors degree in Social Work. I spent a year working at the St. Vincent Stress Center on the inpatient unit before applying for graduate school. I earned my Masters degree in Social Work in 2009 and began work as a therapist in the Stress Center's outpatient program.
I fell in love with therapy and the art of working with people from a very early age. I am extremely passionate and energetic when it comes to the process of recovery as you will most likely recognize as we work together. I approach situations from a strengths perspective and work on meeting each individual where they are. It is my belief that each individual is where they are in their life for a reason. There is no situation that is hopeless, no matter how stuck you may feel.
Therapy is a process that is about helping you discover your best self, getting help with your goals, and addressing what things are getting in the way. Everyone's story is completely individual and unique and will be approached as such! Let's get started!
